SUNSHIELD | DESCRIPTION SUNSHIELD is a one-part emulsion that combines high performance acrylics in a water-borne formulation. The coating combines four different ceramics that provide both heat reflectivity and insulative properties. SUNSHIELD can be used as a topcoat over SUPER BASE/HS or as a one-coating system. The coating is flexible and resistant to mold and mildew. SUNSHIELD can be applied over most firmly bonded paints. In most cases, no white metal or near-white metal blast is required to prepare the substrate. Allow the first coat to dry before applying the second. - Solids: By volume 46%
- Dry Time: One hour to touch / overcoat window begins a four hours at 70F. degrees or longer
- Fully cures in 21 days
- Lead and Chromate free

FIELD TESTING has proven: - The coating provides a watertight barrier
- The coating can withstand large temperature variances without peeling, cracking or loss of adhe sion
- The coating is resistant to mold and mildew
- The coating was designed to be flexible and elongate to move with substrate, and to withstand the rigors of expansion and con traction
- The ceramics contained have sound dampening qualities
TYPICAL USES: - As a one-coat system on most types of roofs.
- As a topcoat over SUPER BASE/HS on shingled roofs.
- As insulation protection on side walls

APPLICATION METHODS: SUNSHIELD can be applied to metal, wood, concrete, fiberglass and many other porous substrates.
